Grimsby Hillside Vineyard is known for its top quality grapes and sustainable grape growing. We’ve been working with them for years and there’s a reason. The best grapes come from growers that really care about the grapes but also Mother Nature, the earth and our symbiotic reltationship. This is Grimsby Hillside Vineyard. Owned by the Franciosa brothers and managed by Josh Mitchell. The Chardonnay was hand-picked and whole bunch pressed. Fermented in 2 year old French oak barrels with wild, ambient yeasts. Aged for 10 months with some lees stirring and malolactic fermentation. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with a small addition of sulphites. 

Expect earthy and nutty elements for sure. The character from this vineyard is how the fruit shines and comes through no matter what. Apples, peaches, pears - all the freshest tree fruit. The best of both worlds. 

My passion for Chardonnay runs deep. Expect a hedonistic dream that is great now but will also age very well.
